Edgerton specialise in Monumental Memorials to allow
the memory of your loved one to live on in your
thoughts. All monumental memorial work is carried
out at our own private local masons workshop near
Whitchurch so we have the ability to do all the
necessary work within the business. This keeps costs
of memorials as low as possible while maintaining an
excellent standard of work and quality of our
products.

the opening of a funeral directing office and
monumental memorials showroom in Whitchurch we have
aimed to get as wide a range of granite products on
display indicating different design types and
colours. This variety helps when making a choice
simply because a memorial on display is much easier
to visualise then choosing a memorial from a

Edgerton also has several different types of
brochures to cover the widest range of different
designs and circumstances associated with the
selection of a memorial. As a memorial is tailored
to your specific requests we believe that you will
find what you are looking for at our Whitchurch
memorial showroom or our second showroom at
Bradenheath near Whitchurch. Between our two
showrooms we constantly have in excess of 100
different memorials on permanent display. |

| Granite
Memorials |
 |
Granite memorials
are the most popular memorial headstone used for the
memory of the recently departed. This is because
granite is a strong, weather resistant stone, which
comes in a wide range of colours. Granite memorial
headstones
are often polished for added weather resistance,
lower maintenance and better aesthetics however, it
is important to know that polished granite memorials
are no longer accepted by churchyards in the
Lichfield diocese. Please consider this when making
your selection and for more advice, please do not
hesitate to contact us as we have a range of matt
finished memorials and samples on display that are
permitted by these churchyards. |

Ornamentation |
| Ornamentation is
an opportunity to reflect on the individual
interests of the deceased through graphics.
Ornamentation can be anything from a flower or
favourite pet to a military service medal or
equivalent professional insignia. Any requested
ornamentation is often included in our price
however; more complex ornamentations may incur an
additional cost. |

Inscriptions |
| Inscriptions are a
personal opportunity to reflect on the memory of
your loved one in words. E.J Edgerton carry out all
inscriptions to your request however, inscriptions
must be checked first by the churchyard minister or
cemetery management authority before permission is
granted to carry out the request. The churchyards in
the Lichfield diocese are stricter on the nature of
inscriptions, which can lead to delays. Inscriptions
are carried out at the E.J Edgerton workshop by
using specialist equipment. Inscriptions are
typically coloured in gold leaf, silver or white as
per your request. |

| Vases |
 |
We provide you
with the option of deciding how many vases and where
you prefer to have them positioned when you come to
order your memorial. The vases are inserted into the
base and come in silver or gold. E.J Edgerton also
provides granite 6 inch cubed vases where you may
choose an inscription or ornamentation to be placed
on the vase. |

Services |
| Our services begin
the moment you visit one of our showrooms. If it is
the first time you are visiting us it is likely you
are seeking ideas on various designs and styles so,
we suggest you browse over the displays in the
showroom and take a brochure and price list
containing many of the memorials we have to offer.
At E.J Edgerton & Son, we do not pressure you to
decide on your memorial, we are happy for you to
take all the time you require to make this important
selection.
When you are ready to make that important decision,
all you need to do is return to us in Whitchurch
where we will discuss the formalities that are
involved with the preparation of a memorial and work
together to design your own personal memorial.

| The
completion of your memorial can take approximately 3
weeks however, it could take longer if we need to
order specific stone designs or colour. Delays can
also occur during the application process by
governing bodies, which we have no control over. On
completion we will place the memorial at the
requested site and notify you when the work has been
finished. You may also like to inspect the memorial
before we make placement, if so please do not
hesitate to tell us.
E.J Edgerton & Son
also offer a maintenance service and also carry out
re-lettering work for a further inscription if
needed. Maintenance work and re-lettering requests
are priced individually so do not hesitate to
contact us for a quote. |

| Our
Professional Fees |
| Prices per memorial vary
according to the level of detail, colour and type of stone.
Our memorial prices are displayed on our exhibit memorials
in our showroom and within our brochure you will receive
when you visit one of our showrooms. We understand when you
purchase a memorial that it can be confusing as the price
increases based on how many letters you prefer, vases,
placement, fixings and fees. |

At E.J Edgerton, we
have aimed to reduce the confusion by quoting you
one price that includes the following: |

Type, colour and
design of stone; |

All memorial
lettering in gold leaf, silver or white. Price
varies for lead lettering; |
|
|
Standard
ornamentation if preferred; |
|
|
Up to 2 vase
insets for the base of the memorial; |
|
|
Site placement
including concrete foundation slab, ground anchor
and labour. |
|
We believe that you
will find our memorial prices very competitive. The
only additional cost added to the price of the
memorial is the churchyard or cemetery fee of which
we have no control. We are able to pay this on your
behalf if you wish. |

| Other
Memorial Tributes |
 |
On occasions some
of our customers have asked for park benches with a
brass memorial plaque commemorating the life of
their loved one. E.J Edgerton can provide this for
you however, the appropriate authority must be
notified and permission granted before we can carry
out such a request. Park benches can be placed in a
special location, which has meaning to you or your
loved one whether it is their favourite public park
or simply their own private garden.
