David Carpenter, E.J. Edgerton & Son David Carpenter (partner): David started as a director of the business in 1975 following the death of his father-in-law John Edgerton. David is regarded as highly experienced in all aspects of the funeral and stone mason business. David firmly believes in providing excellent quality services and products at a reasonable cost and his ambitious and hard-working attitude goes a long way to meeting your every need.
Jonathan Carpenter (partner): Son of David Carpenter, Jonathan has been a partner in the business since 1992. With 15 years experience in the funeral and monumental masons business, Jonathan is very qualified to assist you in any way possible throughout the final arrangements and beyond. Carolyn Carpenter, E.J. Edgerton & Son Carolyn Carpenter (partner): Formally Carolyn Edgerton, Carolyn is the daughter of John Edgerton and practically grew up within the business learning the roots of the business over time. Carolyn married David Carpenter in 1974 and in 1975 took over the business when her father passed away. Carolyn’s role is business administrator where receiving incoming calls is her main responsibility. When you first make contact with E.J Edgerton Funeral Directors, it is likely that Carolyn will be the first person you speak to. Her sympathetic, understanding and easy to talk to nature will help you talk about this sensitive matter in confidence. Carolyn is also responsible for the preparation of service hymn sheets tailored to your specific requirements.
Shane Paul: Son-in-Law to David and Carolyn Carpenter, Shane joined the business in 2006 as a funeral bearer. Shane now manages the Whitchurch office that opened in 2007. Shane’s responsibilities include the management of products and services through the Whitchurch office along with customer sales assistance of monumental memorials tailored to your specific requirements. You are likely to be greeted by Shane when you visit the Whitchurch office who’s warm, welcoming nature and willingness to assist you every way possible will help you make those difficult decisions toward that all important and everlasting memorial for the eternal memory of your loved one. E.J Edgerton also have a team of part-time funeral bearers to assist toward the funeral service and internment. They are readily available, when requested, to perform the funeral service and internment to your specific needs. Our bearers all live in the local area with a long-standing relationship with E.J Edgerton & Son and the community in which we work.
